In the winter, the sailing tours will start in the harbour of Santa Cruz de La Palma or in Puerto de Tazacorte.

Diving – Popular Leisure Activity on La Palma
Diving in the clear water at La Palma means exploring the best diving places of the Canaries. Diving has become an established part of the leisure facilities on the island. Because of its volcanic origin, the subtropical waters around La Palma offer unique underwater worlds with grottos, steep cliffs, stony arches and bizarre lava formations with a viewing range of up to 50 meters. You can watch marvellously the Canarian sea fauna in form of colourful shoals of fish, moraines and also rays. Here, you find each year, international championships in under-water-photography and -film. Water temperatures of at least 18°C in the winter and 23°C in the summer guarantee fun with diving all year long. Tauchpartner La Palma offer all year diving, diving in small groups, guided diving tours, diving with Nitrox, diving for beginners, and a special training following PADI and CMAS. The diving centre is situated in Puerto Naos on the sunny western side on the beach promenade directly at the sea. The diving base “Buceo Sub La Palma” is Padi Dive Center and Cmas Diving School and can be found at the eastern side of La Palma in Los Cancajos. The Water Sports Centre Agua Fun Tours works closely together with Buceos Sub and thus supplys additional service – canoe trekking, water sports activity and action weeks for a successful holiday on La Palma.
Surfing on the Coast of La Palma
Surfers meet at the Playa Nueva near Puerto Naos. Above all in the winter, surfers get one’s money worth on the big waves of the Atlantic. In the summer, you can surf at the Playa los Nogales.
Boating trips – experience la Palma from the Sea
Starting point is the harbour of Tazacorte. It is an unforgettable event to sail with an excursion boat along the coast of the Atlantic towards the North and to experience the sea’s attractions:
the cave “Cueva Bonita“, the old pirates’ hideout “Cueva Candelaria”, stay at the Playa “La Veta”, a romantic bay which can only be reached from the sea; on the way back on the high seas look out for dolphins or wonder at the sunset. Deep-sea Fishing in the Atlantic
For friends of angling or fishing for the whole family, there is the opportunity to do deep-sea angling. In the harbour of Tazacorte, there are several organizers of this acitivity. Do ask at our reception for further information.
